My friend Doug had this book for over twenty years and recently sold it to me. I would like to see it reunited with the only surviving vehicle. (The domain name "AmericanMercedes.com" could be made available with it). Years ago, Doug worked with a man named John Osinga. John's father was the illustrator of this book while he was still in college and then went on to sell these cars. (The letter from John is provided as documentation. This is NOT a reprint and is could be a proof copy as the illustrations are pasted onto the pages and not printed). These cars were built in the Steinway Piano factory in New York. It is a piece of Mercedes Benz history that went up in smoke in 1907 when the factory burned along with all the records of the company. Only one car exists today.
